Programs

At Ryde Early Learning Centre, our educators meticulously design programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework. These programs feature play-based experiences that cater to children’s holistic development. Our educators collaborate closely with families to tailor the learning journey, ensuring children engage deeply in topics that interest them. Throughout the week, our program evolves dynamically, integrating family insights, children’s spontaneous discoveries, and intentional teaching strategies.

We prioritize nurturing children’s natural curiosity by offering diverse opportunities for exploration, experimentation, problem-solving, and self-discovery. Our goal is to help children understand themselves, relate to others, and comprehend the world around them through enriching experiences.

As part of our educational approach, we use portfolios to document each child’s learning and growth. These portfolios compile observations, evidence of achievements, and anecdotes of your child’s experiences, creating a personalized narrative of their time at Ryde Early Learning Cent

0 to 2 Years
Baby in KOALA Room (“Igniting Early Curiosity“)

Our babies’ program nurtures children’s awareness of themselves and their environment in a warm, caring setting. We maintain home routines for feeding, sleeping, and more to best meet each family’s needs. Our focus is on building secure, loving relationships between educators and children to boost confidence and potential. Hygiene and safety are rigorously upheld.

We provide sensory learning experiences that stimulate cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional growth. Family involvement helps us tailor activities that support every child’s development.

2 to 3 Years
Toddlers in WOMBAT Room (“Nurturing Growth “)

Toddlers are curious, energetic explorers keen on independence. We support toilet training with consistent routines and encourage self-help skills such as dressing and caring for belongings. Our program includes engaging activities, group interactions, and free play to foster social and emotional development.

We promote interactions with peers, sharing, and empathy building to enhance communication skills and friendships.

3 to 5 Years
Preschoolers in KANGAROO Room (“Preparing for Tomorrow “)

Our preschool curriculum prepares children comprehensively for primary school, focusing on literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, independence, cooperation, and concentration skills. Family participation enriches the learning experience.

In our play-based environment, children develop curiosity, resilience, and risk-taking abilities, essential for lifelong learning. We collaborate closely with local schools and educators to ensure our School Readiness program effectively supports children’s transition.

4 to 5 Years
School Preparation

Many parents are curious about the skills children need before starting school. Traditionally, reading and writing were emphasized, but schools now typically introduce these subjects after children begin formal education. The NSW Department of Education and Training has identified key skills that can ease the transition to school (available on their website).

At Ryde Early Learning Centre, our school preparation program begins as soon as your child joins us and continues to support their development toward primary school readiness. Our goal is to nurture lifelong learning skills in every child.

Our preschool educators are dedicated to helping your child follow instructions, articulate their needs, achieve independence in toileting, adapt to new environments and experiences, engage in cooperative play, sit attentively during group activities, and share attention with peers and adults. These skills are essential for a successful transition to school and align with educational standards set by the NSW Department of Education and Training.
