At Ryde Early Learning Centre, our educators meticulously design programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework. These programs feature play-based experiences that cater to children’s holistic development. Our educators collaborate closely with families to tailor the learning journey, ensuring children engage deeply in topics that interest them. Throughout the week, our program evolves dynamically, integrating family insights, children’s spontaneous discoveries, and intentional teaching strategies.
We prioritise nurturing children’s natural curiosity by offering diverse opportunities for exploration, experimentation, problem-solving, and self-discovery. Our goal is to help children understand themselves, relate to others, and comprehend the world around them through enriching experiences.
As part of our educational approach, we use portfolios to document each child’s learning and growth. These portfolios compile observations, evidence of achievements, and anecdotes of your child’s experiences, creating a personalized narrative of their time at Ryde Early Learning Centre.
Many parents are curious about the skills children need before starting school. Traditionally, reading and writing were emphasized, but schools now typically introduce these subjects after children begin formal education. The NSW Department of Education and Training has identified key skills that can ease the transition to school (available on their website).
At Ryde Early Learning Centre, our school readiness program begins as soon as your child joins us and continues to support their development toward primary school readiness. Our goal is to nurture lifelong learning skills in every child.
Our preschool educators are dedicated to helping your child follow instructions, articulate their needs, achieve independence in toileting, adapt to new environments and experiences, engage in cooperative play, sit attentively during group activities, and share attention with peers and adults. These skills are essential for a successful transition to school and align with educational standards set by the NSW Department of Education and Training.
